Food Safaris
Annette’s Food Safaris have become an ‘unforgettable experience’ for both tourists visiting the Lake District, and resident Cumbrian food connoisseurs wishing to know more about local artisan food producers.

A one day Food Safari offers an 'enjoyable, informative and educational' behind-the-scenes experience of Cumbria’s best artisan food. You get to meet the producers and see how they craft their produce.
In addition you will get the opportunity to sample and enjoy some the finest local food the Lake District has to offer. No two safaris are exactly alike – each one created to suit the particular interests of safari guests.

Throughout the day you will be chauffer-driven around the stunning Cumbrian countryside. The day includes a sumptuous lunch at a location rarely open to the public, and a unique chance to sample the delights of some of the UK’s finest produce.

All tours are £120 per person for a full day exclusively chauffeured, visiting three or four food producers, tasting as you go, all refreshments, including a three course lunch with wine at a private estate. The automatic people carrier has leather upholstery and there’s a hospitality basket for your convenience. Please ask about our £20 discount for repeat bookings!
So come along and see that 'slow food is better than fast food!' You'll need comfy shoes and an appetite.
Please choose a date from the Diary Dates when you would like to take a Cumbria On A Plate tour and ring to book your place.
